Historical Cellar
The property features an historic wine cellar dating back to 1741, offering a glimpse into traditional winemaking methods of the past. The old granite lagares, once used for crushing grapes underfoot, and the original wine presses serve as living testaments to the artisanal process of winemaking of long ago. Additionally, carefully selected French oak barrels are housed in the cellar, where the family ages their wines, preserving the tradition and unique character of each vintage. This impressive building is a testament to the region's winemaking history and it is one of the highlights of visiting the Quinta Santo António do Serrado.
